Notes: Lippehne (now Lipiany, Poland), lies in the region of Lubuskie in Poland. Situated in the far west, the region has a very low population density and has many nature reserves in an area often referred to as the "Polish Lake District".
Prior to 1945, Lubuskie was part of the Prussian region of Brandenburg, but following the expulsion of the Germans at the end of WW2, many towns and cities in the area took on Polish translations of their perviously German names; thus Lippehne became Lipiany.
